For Petit Món's very first project, we wanted to build a hostel for girls who had been rescued from the world of child prostitution. However, due to the circumstances beyond our control, the direction of the project changed quite dramatically. What was initially intended to be a refuge for girls, ended up being the Sano Sansar Children's Home.
In spite of this, the desire to provide these girls with a place where they can rediscover the self-respect and love that has been taken from them, remains.
In addition to providing a safe and secure environment for approximately 100 girls,
Petit Món will also construct (in the surrounding area) a textile workshop and accomodation for volunteers and those who will be caring for the girls. The workshop is fundamental to this project as it will provide the girls with prospects for their future and help them to became more independent.
At the workshop, they will receive professional training and will gain skills that will last them througout their life.
Do you want to help these girls begin their new life?
